little star!

Here is my entry for this weeks Lessismore Challenge - Shaped card. It's quite simple but I needed another baby boy card in a bit of a hurry, and I was desperate to try out my new lyra pencils... I only have a few so I used them with coloured pencils I already had! It's a long time since I've used pencils to colour an image, tend to stick to copics/promarkers but I really love the soft effect you get from pencils on kraft card.... hmmmm think I need some practice!
Challenges entered LIM 69
fabnfunky  new beginnings
cas-ualfridays masculine with designer paper - don't know if this counts as not much dp!
digidoodles spotty

off now to practice with my pencils..........

bubbles

Good evening all. Hasn't it been a glorious day- so lovely to see the sun after all the rain! Shame I had to go to work! I thought I would share some  LOs that i made this week. The first is with papers left from last weeks scrapbook class  at scrapbooksisters.  I followed the sketch over at sketchbook365, the papers are 'Note to Self' by Echo Park (love them!) The bubbles are painted onto the cardstock with perfect pearls and then covered with glossy accents (rather pleased with the result, they look quite bubble-y!) , and I pinched one of Ruby's bubble wands to make the 'smile ' embelly. The dodgy flash photography is down to yours truly!
This is the LO that I started in class, I kind of started off following Julie's examples but wandered off at a tangent!
I am using the first LO for these challenges:
sketchbook365
glittergeeks   polka dots
LEJ anything but a card
lovetocreate I'm forever blowing bubbles

Enjoy the rest of the evening - and here's hoping for some more lovely sunshine tomorrow!

A little free time...

Found myself with a little unexpected free time this week (yayyyy!) and have had time to play, so I made this card for my other half's birthday next month - how organised is that!!!? Usually I panic the day before and sit up half the night making a card for him! I really love this bear image! It looks just like one of my bears, a gorgeous old boy named Fred Foskey, that my husband bought me about 25 years ago (where does the time go?). The papers are from a pad by Kanban and I followed this weeks sketch from sketchsaturday
Challenges entered sketchsaturday

Baby boy!

Really quick post this evening! Just about to take my grandaughters home and put them to bed. We have had a lovely day together, I'm not sure who is the the most tired!
This card is staighter than it looks in the photo (Honest!)! I have used a favourite old stamp by Whippersnapper  and the letters are cut on the cricut. I would like to use it for these challenges:
lessismore week 68 and cas-ualfridaysCFC53.
Gotta go now! the girls are calling!!

Dandelion clock

Good evening all. Here is a layout I made using some papers from a  scrapbooking class I missed some time last year. They are lovely bright summery papers from Echo Park, I just never got around to using them! My little grandaughters never get tired of blowing the seeds from the dandelion heads... and making their wishes (I don't know what they are wishing for, everyone konws that you have to keep wishes a secret.. or they won't come true!).
I'd like to enter this in scrapbooksisters scrapbook challenge-stamped background (2nd entry for this month!!!!!)
enjoy the rest of the evening!

Another tree....

There's just something about a tree.... Here's my take on this week's less is more challenge, a one layer card, three different stamps. I had another attempt at distress inking a background, it does look better IRL the coloursare a bit more subtle, 2 of the stamps used are from an Andy Skinner set -back to nature, the sentiment stamp is from a set by Hobby Arts. I would also like to use the card for these challenges.

have a pleasant evening !

..fun to be 1!...

Here is a layout I made for the current scrapbook challenge at scrapbooksisters . The challenge is to stamp the background. I've used a random selection of design papers from my stash, white cardstock, various border punches, gems and buttons. The flowers were made using a Tim Holtz tattered flowers die and the stamps were inked with distress inks.
That's all for now. Have a good evening.
